Dr. Carolyn West is associate professor of psychology and the Bartley Dobb Professor for the Study of Prevention of Violence in the Interdiscplinary Arts and Sciences Program at the University of Washington. She is an award-winning author and Fellow of the American Psychological Association. Dr. West writes, trains, consults, and lectures internationally on interpersonal violence and sexual assault. She is author of numerous book chapters and journal articles, and is editor/contributor of "Violence in the Lives of Black Women: Battered, Black, and Blue," which was published by Routledge in 2002.
