Jessica L. Jackson
Attorney/Co-Pastor
New Living Way
Christian Center
Rev. Jessica L. Jackson serves as co-pastor and administrator
of New Living Way Christian Center (NLWCC), a multicultural
non-denominational church in south Minneapolis, MN. She is
also a licensed employment attorney, qualified neutral (mediator),
experienced Circle Keeper, and trainer. Ms. Jackson has worked
with Fortune 500 companies, large public sector employers,
higher education institutions, charter schools, and non-profit
organizations to resolve a range of employment law matters.
She is one of the original members of the first Peacemaking
Circle initiative in the nation that responded to child protection
issues within Hennepin County, Minnesota. Jackson is President
of Cirlutions LLC, (which stands for Circle Solutions),
a consulting firm that partners with corporate, non-profit,
educational, community, and faith-based clients to creatively
address complex contemporary human dilemmas through the ancient
wisdom of Circle. A former adjunct in General College and
Associate to the Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity
and Affirmative Action at the University of Minnesota, she
created and coordinated Race Circle – an educational,
community building and train-the-trainer Circle initiative
on identifying white privilege and undoing individual and
institutional racism. Rev. Jackson currently teaches a course
on Circle and traditional mediation at Bethel University as
a part of the Reconciliation Studies major/minor program in
the Anthropology and Sociology Department. Rev. Jackson is
currently working on her first book on race and healing to
be published in 2009.
